As Vice President of Portfolio Analytics, Dr. Wu is responsible for conducting the analytical work on prospective and current investments to inform how the firm allocates capital across various positions.
Prior to joining the company, Dr. Wu was a tenure-track faculty member of finance at a liberal arts university focusing on fixed income and credit risk. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he published numerous articles in leading journals of finance and economics and spoke extensively at conferences pertaining to valuation, credit risk, structured finance, and fixed income securities. He also served as an advisor to the California Debt and Investment Advisory Committee, where he reviewed a project that produced a scientifically informed framework for investors and other stakeholders to assess the credit risk of municipal issuers.
Prior to his work in academia, Dr. Wu was a quantitative analyst at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, performing portfolio risk analysis and cash flow modelling for relative-value trading strategies.
He earned his Ph.D. and MBA in finance from Rutgers University and received a B.A. in Economics with highest honors from the University of Colorado.
Outside of work, he is an avid tennis player.
